Price, odds and buyback at a glance
Public page snapshot: 2026-09-14. Dollar values below are operator estimates. Prices, inventory and offers may change.
| Pack price | $25.00 |
|---|---|
| Displayed buyback | 85% of the applicable card value |
| Operator-reported expected card value | $26.28 |
| Conditional expected sell-back, before fees | $22.34 |
| Conditional difference versus ticket | -$2.66 |
| Card value needed to cover ticket, before fees | $29.42 |
Conditional figures multiply the operator’s EV by the displayed buyback percentage. They assume a common valuation base and the same rate for every outcome. They are not independently measured returns.
Published value bands
| Operator card-value range | Displayed probability |

| $50.00–$150.00 | 4% |

These are the operator’s displayed boundaries. They do not establish a uniform distribution or the chance of a particular card.

The public pack page

September 24 check: the chase list has changed
The public One Piece Starter page still lists the $25 tier and the four value bands used in our September 14 snapshot. Its leading displayed examples now include a Dortmund collaboration Luffy ST13-003 in CGC Pristine 10 at an estimated $976, followed by a regional-finalist Luffy P-041 in BGS 9.5 at $975.
These differ from the Teach and Luffy examples in the saved table above. That makes the capture date essential: a historical top hit is not evidence that the card is still in the pool. The current public text rounds expected value to $26; it does not re-establish the saved $26.28 detail-panel input or 85% offer.
How much of the pool can cover a $25 opening?
Under the saved 85% buyback assumption, the entire $13–$25 band falls short: its highest valuation produces $21.25. That band accounts for 80% of the displayed snapshot probability.
The $25–$50 band straddles the $29.42 break-even threshold. Its 15% probability cannot all be counted as profitable, because the page does not specify where each outcome sits inside that band. The upper two bands, together 5%, clear the threshold on the same assumptions.
Consequently, the snapshot supports a conditional break-even share between 5% and 20% before fees, not a precise win probability. The unknown is how much of the middle band lies at or above the threshold.
| Assigned-value band | Snapshot share | Can cover the $25 opening before fees? |
|---|---|---|
| $13–$25 | 80% | No; maximum calculated offer $21.25 |
| $25–$50 | 15% | Only outcomes valued at least $29.42 |
| $50–$150 | 4% | Yes, if the 85% rate applies |
| $150–$5,000 | 1% | Yes, if the 85% rate applies |
Why the average does not describe the ordinary pull
The recorded detailed EV was $26.28. Multiplying it by 0.85 gives $22.338, rounded to $22.34, or $2.66 below the opening cost. This uses Phygitals’ estimate rather than a sample of openings conducted by RipCompass.
The fact that 80% of snapshot outcomes occupy the lowest band also puts the median assigned value within that band. Rare larger values can lift the average without improving the most common result. A manga chase image cannot answer the question of what a typical opening contains.
Match One Piece cards by code, language and grade
The historical examples use different identifiers: OP09-093 Teach, EB02-010 Luffy and OP01-003 Luffy. A character-name search alone mixes distinct cards. Add the set code, printing language, artwork variant and certification before looking for comparable sales.
PSA 10, BGS 10 and CGC Pristine 10 are different grading labels. Compare like-for-like examples rather than applying the largest price found for the same character. The dollar figures in our snapshot are the operator’s estimates, not independently verified sale prices.
Choose between this repack and a specific single
The digital reveal leads to a physical-card inventory item; it is a different purchase from a manufacturer-sealed One Piece booster. If your target is specifically OP09-093 in a particular grade, price that identified single before assigning value to the possibility of pulling it.
For an opening you intend to keep, add the delivery quote to your budget. For a sell-back, recalculate using the actual offer shown on the revealed card. Neither route should rely on the historical 85% figure remaining unchanged.
Pack pros and considerations
Pros
- Published value bands let collectors inspect the distribution before choosing this pack.
- The snapshot records the buyback percentage alongside the pack price.
Considerations
- The card outcome is random; a displayed chase is not a typical result.
- Shipping and other applicable costs are separate from the recorded pack price.
Frequently asked questions
How much is the Phygitals One Piece Starter Pack?
The public page showed $25.00 per pack on September 14, 2026. This does not include any additional payment, withdrawal or shipping costs and is not a live price quote.
Does the buyback percentage refund the pack price?
No. The displayed 85% rate applies to the card’s valuation or offer basis, not automatically to the $25.00 paid for the pack. Check the actual per-card offer and any temporary boost conditions.
Are the top hits equally likely?
No equal probabilities were established. The page gives value-band probabilities; those cannot be assigned to a named card without card-level probability data.
Is the displayed expected value a guaranteed return?
No. The operator quoted $26.28 as expected card value at the research cutoff. We have not independently audited that estimate, and buyback proceeds, fees and individual outcomes differ.
Was a pack opened for this analysis?
No. This is a dated analysis of the public pack page, captured screenshot and official documentation. It is not a firsthand opening, payout or delivery review.
Sources and research scope
Original pack evidence: September 14, 2026. Editorial analysis updated September 24; the public pack page was rechecked for price, bands and top-hit changes. Historical buyback and detailed EV inputs remain dated rather than being relabeled as current.
