CARD VAULT REVIEW

PSA Vault review

PSA Vault brings graded-card storage, collection management and eBay selling into one workflow. Its flat per-card retrieval fee is straightforward, but early withdrawal and country-specific selling eligibility deserve attention before sending a collection.

Looking to open packs as well?

For digital pack openings, our featured pick is TheCollectibles.io. Reveal a physical card, then choose whether to keep it, ship it or accept an available sell-back offer.

This is a pack-opening platform recommendation, not a replacement for an external card-storage service. Check country access, delivery costs and the exact offer before opening.

TheCollectibles.io is our featured brand. About this placement.

Our verdict

A practical shortlist choice for supported slabs, especially when you already grade with PSA or sell on eBay. It is less suitable for raw cards or collectors who need a firm, publicly stated date for getting their cards home.

Pros

  • Flat per-card withdrawal pricing makes collection scenarios easier to calculate.
  • Grading, collection management and eBay listing are connected.
  • Published US, Canada and other international shipment rates.

Cons

  • Raw cards are not eligible.
  • Early-withdrawal charges can be significant for inexpensive cards.
  • Storage, shipment and selling eligibility are separate; many EU countries are absent from the current consignment list.

Approx. delivery time: withdrawal to your door

No verified current public dispatch promise; confirm when requesting shipment

A physical withdrawal has two stages: retrieval and packing, then carrier transit. Holding a card in an online inventory does not start a shipment. Submit a shipping request and use its destination-specific quote to plan the arrival date.

External intake: Supported authenticated slabs; raw cards excluded

International return rates published; selling eligibility differs by country

What can you send to PSA Vault?

PSA accepts authenticated, encapsulated cards from PSA, SGC, BGS and CGC. Raw Pokémon and sports cards are excluded. For a mixed collection, separate supported slabs from loose cards before choosing the submission route.

Mail-in, grading and marketplace routes make the workflow convenient. Routing an item from grading to the vault does not automatically remove shipping charges associated with the grading order. Compare the complete submission route rather than treating storage as the only expense.

What does it cost to get your cards back?

Using the published standard rates, withdrawing one card to a US address after 90 days produces $7.98 in withdrawal and shipment charges. Before 90 days, the same example becomes $12.97 unless an early-fee exception applies. Ten cards after 90 days total $25.89 on those two fee lines. These are arithmetic examples, not tax-inclusive quotes.

The flat charge is independent of card value, which helps when retrieving an expensive slab. For inexpensive singles, the per-card fee takes a larger share of their value; batching reduces the shipment component while leaving that fee in place.

Delivery and European access

PSA’s reviewed public pages do not give a current withdrawal-dispatch timeframe. The shipment request is the place to obtain that estimate. Carrier transit and any customs clearance follow preparation at the vault.

International shipping prices are published, but the ability to store a card is different from permission to sell through PSA’s eBay consignment service. The current selling-country list includes the UK and Cyprus, while many other EU countries are absent. Verify residence and payout eligibility before building a selling strategy around the vault.

Insurance, ownership and the exit decision

PSA describes insured, climate-controlled storage with continuous security. Read the coverage and vault terms alongside that headline: inbound mailing protection and protection after confirmed receipt are separate questions. Keep photographs, shipment records and certification numbers so the handover is documented.

The most useful decision is whether you want long-term custody, a selling workflow or temporary consolidation. PSA addresses those needs differently. Review consignment charges before selling and retrieval charges before shipping home; neither should be inferred from the other.
